  • Tell her you Love her every day

Last post: NZed on 23.03.15 at 12:47 | Started by NZMaori11 on 10.12.12

We are also in the routine of telling each other 'I love you' mostly twice a day, but every once in a while, I tell her why I love her so much, giving some detail so that the normal 'I love you' takes a significant meaning again - 'you are so wonderful with the kids', 'how stunning does that dress look on you!', 'all the little things you do makes me feel I married the best person in the world!'... etc.
Obviously saying this while she is not expecting it, adds so much more brownie points! :) More about Tell her you Love her every day

  • Kiwi driving skills (or lack thereof)

Twice it has happened where the power is out, so the traffic lights don't work.
I was SHOCKED to see that no one (read NO ONE) knew what to do when the lights are not working, everyone was just like 'every man for himself', didn't treat it as a stop street. It obviously created carnage, myself and a mate almost involved in 3 accidents.
I agree, let everyone do a refresher course every 10 years or so, clearly some of the 'drivers' out there just drive on 'feel' More about Kiwi driving skills (or lack thereof)

Maaaate! This will work anywhere - if this thing can carry a GoPro, I can make mean footage... and hand it over to the 2 younger fellas, not worrying about breaking it to bits! Nice work! More about Win an Air Hogs Rollercopter

  • Is alcohol too popular in NZ today?

Last post: NZed on 23.06.14 at 12:57 | Started by Rangatira on 12.12.13

I watch the AB's play a good game of rugby, or the Junior rugby players like England, winning a final and at the post match interviews the inevidable question comes up that sounds something like - ' A few quiet ones after tonight?' 'A nice refreshing beverage afterwards?' or something stupid like the recent comment - ' we might have some ice cream and watch a dvd'...
The sad thing is everyone knows what they really mean and even more sad is that this looks now like the accepted way of celebration after a hard game, getting wasted, not remembering who vomited on who? Brilliant example for the kids out there that look up to these individuals aye...
A former phenomenal rugby player of the crusaders, a fat nz cricketer playing for Melbourne rebels... what an absolute waste of beautiful talent and skill More about Is alcohol too popular in NZ today?

  • You are what you eat

    Good reply Mooner!
Look, I love food, no scratch that - I am in love with food!
Quality and quantity! And that is my downfall.
Small changes I recently made gave me a good balance on my body structure and focusing on more frequent, smaller meals throughout the day.
Things I added/changed to my food cupboard is things like using coconut oil in stead of other cooking oils, using some cayenne pepper, ginger, cinnamon and garlic in my recipes and eating just one carb on my plate at a time.

    Coffee - good!
Coffee with sugar - bad bad bad
